Project Description
The American Indian Center of Arkansas is a nonprofit, Urban Indian Organization that services primarily the Native American, Alaskan Native, Native Hawaiian, and Marshallese Pacific Islander communities of Arkansas. AICA has since expanded our service to minority populations such as the Latino/Hispanic communities of Arkansas. As the only Urban Indian Organization in the natural state, AICA will create a culturally sensitive, work oriented program designed for these populations. The funding provides two peer recovery specialists and a program director, who will provide prevention and recovery services. Funding is also allocated for translation of educational materials.
