About the Life Care Specialist Application

Christopher Wolf passed after a 14 year battle with opioid misuse and dependency. Like so many others, his battle with opioid dependency began with a prescription.  Unfortunately, there was not one professional on Christopher’s medical team to educate him and his family about the risks of his pain medication. The Christopher Wolf Crusade (CwC) has developed a position called a Life Care Specialist to educate patients and prevent misuse. Learn about the Life Care Specialists and the healing wheel here. In this application, rural hospitals can apply for opioid settlement dollars to fund two Life Care Specialists for two years.

This application will open March 25, 2024. This application will close April 19th, 2024. This application was created for rural hospitals. 

What is a Life Care Specialist?

If you have had a health crisis requiring hospitalization or know someone who has then you know firsthand how stressful and scary the process can be. Life Care Specialists help fill the gap.
