ARORP Partners are first to receive recovery housing accreditation in Arkansas

[Little Rock, Arkansas] December 19, 2023 | ARORP

Two ARORP Partners, Safe Haven Ministries and Hope’s Bridge Inc., are the first two organizations in Arkansas to become nationally accredited recovery houses. The National Alliance for Recovery Residences (NARR) created the first national standard for recovery houses in 2011. According to NARR, the standards were developed through input from regional and national recovery housing organizations with decades of experience.

Safe Haven was the first residential recovery facility in Arkansas to receive NARR accreditations. In March of 2023, Safe Haven received $492,784.68 opioid settlement dollars from ARORP. With the funding, Safe Haven is in the process of renovating an 8,000 sq. ft. facility in order to open a community crisis and respite center. The center will assist individuals struggling with opioid use disorders in Johnson County.

Hope’s Bridge received $319,441.32 opioid settlement dollars to purchase a 12-bed recovery housing facility in Sebastian County. Following close behind Safe Haven, Hope’s Bridge is the second organization to receive NARR accreditation in Arkansas. Hope’s Bridge began their project with ARORP in June of 2023.
