Arkansas Naloxone Project aims to save lives due to substance abuse

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Arkansas Naloxone Project began in 2017.
“Providing Naloxone through different grants and different resources, funding resources. We developed a partner in this, the state did, with the Criminal Justice Institute, to help train law enforcement and other first responders how to administer Naloxone to save a life,” said Arkansas Drug Director Kirk Lane.
Since its inception, 11,600 people throughout the state have been given kits and trained on how to administer it, saving 1,500 lives. Read more.
