Sozo Addiction Recovery Center leads naloxone hero project

[April 7, 2023] Sozo Addiction Recovery Center will offer naloxone training, including free naloxone kits, to individuals and organizations in Garland and Saline Counties. They will serve the cities of Jessieville, Fountain Lake, Hot Springs Village, Hot Springs, Benton, and Bryant. Sozo has already reached close to 50 people with their trainings, and they plan to distribute over 1,200 kits of naloxone over the next year.

The project is a part of the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership’s Naloxone Hero Project. In 2022, the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP) created the Arkansas Naloxone Bank. Naloxone Community Heroes are organizations that apply for credit to use at the Naloxone Bank to receive naloxone for distribution to families and others in need. Heroes host naloxone trainings and equip every trainee with a free dose of naloxone.
