ARORP Deputy Director Tenesha Barnes represented Arkansas earlier this summer at a round table in New York with the Clinton Foundation and Masimo. Masimo is a medical technology corporation interested in developing cost-effective solutions to the opioid crisis. The Clinton Foundation supports the Opioid Response Network, which has consultants in all states and territories working to end the opioid epidemic.

The event drew together leaders from across the nation to brainstorm solutions to the overdose crisis. Other attendees included the Director of Opioid Policy at NYU, the Co-Founder of Mobilize Recovery, and leadership from the Joint Senate Task Force on Opioids, Addiction, and Overdose Prevention in New York State. There were over twenty individuals in attendance at the roundtable.

Barnes was able to share ARORP’s work, detailing the process for dispersing opioid settlement dollars. Barnes is proud to represent Arkansas, including the Association of Arkansas Counties and the Arkansas Municipal League, on a national stage.
