13 COPE Coalitions Graduate from CADCA’s Arkansas Opioid Academy

January 31, 2024 | Washington, DC

ARORP is thrilled to announce that all 13 Coalition Partnership Empowerment Coalitions graduated from the Arkansas Opioid Academy at CADCA Forum. The 13 coalitions were each awarded $25,000 from the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership to training with CADCA, an international training organization that specializes in coalition building.

For the project, coalitions sent two members each to over three weeks of dedicated trainings developed for Arkansas by CADCA. During the training, coalitions assessed their communities to learn more about local substance use, developed a problem statement, and created a succinct action plan to address substance misuse issues in their area.

Coalitions will use this training to apply for the federal Drug Free Communities grant this Spring. If all thirteen coalitions receive the DFC grant, then ARORP’s $325,000 investment will bring between $8 to 16 million back into Arkansas’s cities and counties. We are so proud of our coalitions’ work!
